The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has learned that counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on Perkins State Bank, Williston, Florida, are currently in circulation. The counterfeit checks have the institution's correct routing number of 063102783, but they do not use the correct account number. While the instruments are laid out similarly to the bank's authentic cashier's checks, the fonts are different and the paper is green instead of blue. An example of a counterfeit instrument and a copy of an authentic cashier's check are attached for your review.
Ms. Missy SeayInformation about this financial institution or these instruments may be forwarded to the FDIC's Special Activities Section, 550 17th Street, NW, Room F-4040, Washington, DC 20429, or transmitted electronically to alert@fdic.gov.
