Melinda Lewis, Special Projects Coordinator with El Centro, welcomes attendees at the June 2002 inauguration of Spanish Money Smart classes. El Centro, with its ten locations, is the leading social services provider to the Kansas City metro area's Hispanic population. El Centro's Macias Flores location, previously an old public school, hosts the classes. Those attending Spanish Money Smart classes at El Centro can access financial services such as Individual Development Accounts, free tax preparation, and special home loan programs.
