Report on Underwriting Practices

The bar chart displays the percent of FDIC-supervised banks that changed underwriting practices since the previous examination, by the direction of the change. Specifically it charts the percentage of banks that either tightened or loosened underwriting practices for five six-month reporting periods, beginning with the six months ending September 30, 1999 through the six months ending September 30, 2001.
