Institutions with ratios greater than 200 percent were about 3 percent of the total in 1984, rose to about 4 percent in 1987, and were about 2 percent in 2000. Institutions with ratios greater than 300 percent were about 1.5 percent of the total in 1984, rose to about 3 percent in 1987, and were less than 1 percent in 2000. Institutions with ratios greater than 400 percent were about 1 percent of the total in 1984, rose to about 2 percent in 1987, and were less than 1 percent in 2000.
