The title is "Syndicated Loan Problems Are on the Rise." This is a bar and line graph showing recent increases in criticized and classified shared national credits (SNCs). Percentage of SNC commitments rose in 1990 from below 14 percent ($12 billion) to almost 16 percent ($15 billion); leveled off the next year, declined steadily from 1992 to 1998, when it reached a low of about 3 percent ($22 billion); and then rose to 5 percent ($100 billion) as of 2000.
