James Van Dyke is
the Founder and President of Javelin Strategy & Research, and has over
twenty years’ of experience in electronic commerce, financial services,
security and payments. Javelin provides leaders with strategic and
factual insights on customer transactions.
Prior to founding
Javelin, Mr. Van Dyke was Research Director of financial services and
payments efforts for Jupiter Media Metrix; served as the product
director for an Internet encryption system used by Global 1000
commercial banking firms; provided Internet products strategy at Hewlett
Packard, launched an Internet banking and payments system; and worked in
the creation and implementation of interactive capabilities within the
supply chain industry including online point of sale, electronic
transactions, and accounting applications.
Mr. Van Dyke
presents before audiences ranging from the US House of Representatives,
Federal Reserve Banks and numerous and numerous other professional
venues. His published comments reach a global audience of over 40
million people per year though such outlets as NPR, The Wall Street
Journal, Business Week, The Economist, Forbes, USA Today, The New York
Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Financial Times and American Banker.
Mr. Van Dyke holds a BS in Management and an MBA, resides in the San
Francisco Bay Area and is an avid bicyclist.
