Todd Sandler is ING DIRECT's Head of Product Strategy & Deposits. Todd has nearly 20 years of consumer marketing, media and advertising experience in many industries including financial services and consumer packaged goods. In his current role, he is responsible for ING DIRECT's Deposit Business, consisting of the Orange Savings Account, Orange CDs, Electric Orange checking, MONEY, Orange for Business and future innovative products. His primary responsibilities include marketing, strategy and product development. During his tenure at ING DIRECT USA, the number of Americans who save with ING DIRECT has grown from 300,000 to nearly 8 Million today.
Todd started his career at BBDO NY, one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. While at BBDO, Todd managed corporate marketing and media strategies for many Fortune 500 businesses while overseeing budgets totaling over $3 Billion dollars. An early advocate of digital media, Todd was one of the first people on Madison Avenue to recognize the role that the Internet and emerging technologies would have on Brands and the Advertising community. Todd helped co-found BBDO's online media practice, the first of its kind in the industry. Todd has also spoken at conferences such as the DMA, AdAge, AdTech, and Digital Hollywood. In 2001, The Philadelphia Inquirer's Philly Tech Magazine recognized Todd as one of the Philadelphia region's emerging leaders when they selected him as one of the "30 people under 30? to watch in the high-tech industry.
Todd received his undergraduate degree in Journalism & Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude. Todd also received his MBA with distinction from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. In addition to holding the position of Head of Product Strategy & Deposits, Todd chairs ING DIRECT's Product Committee and is a member of the Banks' Management Committee and ALCO Committee.
